Joe Elliott s-a nascut la data de 1 August 1959 in orasul Sheffield din Anglia. S-a alaturat formatiei Atomic Mass in noiembrie 1977 careia i-a schimbat numele in Deaf Leopard mai tarziu devenind Def Leppard.Dupa parerea multor oameni el este principalul fapt pentru care si astazi Def Leppard ne mai incanta cu muzica lor.

"Well, here we are, it's New Year's Eve and another year comes to an end..... 2008! A very eventful year for the band; new album, tour, TV, sickness, rescheduled tours, sold out tours, tours in places we haven't seen in 16 years..... I could go on, but I've promised webmaster Mark a full interview about it all and everything sometime next week, so now I've gone public with that, I can hardly get out of it, can I??!!! That leaves me to say that I hope you all had a great holiday season, that Santa brought everything you wanted, and here's to a happy, healthy and successful 2009. Thanx for the vibes this past year, let's hope they carry on through the new one!!
